Wearable Design

Beach and street culture × 1-of-1 handcrafted design × wearable storytelling. A foundation of creativity and sustainability that shaped the designer I am today.

Bucket Hat Design 2024

Pro surfer Soleil Errico wanted to bring her vision to life with the Australian surf hat brand Plow Surf Co. Inspired by the colors of nature — the beach, the sea, and the sky — she gravitated toward soft, glowing tones found in sunrises and sunsets.

Working closely together, I led the color development and art direction, exploring a wide range of gradient directions and tonal combinations before we landed on the final Velvet Hour palette — a calm, ocean-inspired ombré of green, blue, and violet. I then translated the design into a print-ready pattern, refining digital layouts and production specs to ensure the gradient reproduced seamlessly on fabric.

Early Ombré Studies

Early color development centered around Soleil’s initial palette of pink, green, purple, blue, yellow, and orange. I created a series of gradient studies exploring how these hues could interact through tone, temperature, and transition, ultimately leading to the final Velvet Hour direction.

Final Color-way Development

The finalized Velvet Hour gradient — a refined blend of seafoam green, muted blue, and violet — translated into the production-ready pattern and mockup for Plow Surf Co.’s surf hat.

Up-cycled Shoes 2022 - 2023

On October 22, 2022 I received $5,000 in the Apollo Crypto x Centre contest for my sustainable shoe design concept, advancing to the final round for a $25,000 grand prize. The project earned me third place and led to a creative streaming position with EZZE, where I designed and produced custom shoes live three days a week.

At EZZE, I created four one-of-one shoes using up-cycled clothing materials, combining sustainability with craftsmanship. Two days each week were dedicated to hands-on creation, while the third day focused on interviewing local artists and designers in Venice Beach.

This collection was later showcased in 2023 at a 3D Venice Art Crawl exhibition, organized by Tobi (Co-founder of GRLSWRL) and hosted at Emeco Chairs on Abbot Kinney. Each pair was displayed with documentation of my process, materials, and concept development, and auctioned to attendees starting at $100.

Graveyard Garage x Sandborn Swim Runway 2022

A collaborative runway event hosted at The Rose Room, celebrating handmade design and community creativity. I directed and produced the show, featuring one-of-one pieces from Graveyard Garage and bikini designs from Sandborn Swim, a line co-created with my mom.

Guest designers Cosmic Demise and Father AKKI presented capsule collections alongside visual artists Dani T, DannyBoy, and Eric, whose psychedelic works transformed the space. I managed all production elements — from curation and styling to sponsorship, decor, and video post-production.

The runway featured a mix of hand-painted, airbrushed, and upcycled pieces, worn by local models, surfers, and skaters — a reflection of Venice’s creative spirit and the DIY energy that defines my work.
